清水三年坂美術館

The Kiyomizu Sannenzaka Museum is the first museum in Japan to take as its permanent collection metalwork, cloisonne, makie lacquerware and Kyoto Satsuma Ware artworks of the late Edo and Meiji period.

※In order to rotate every piece of artwork into the display throughout the year, our permanent collection exhibition changes periodically throughout the year.

Special Exhibition / 2nd Floor

This exhibition is based on a theme chosen for a three month term.

Art Shop "yuki" -The Museum Shop
On sale are small items such as metalwork and cloisonne ware on display in the museum, as well as other arts and crafts from countries along the Silk Road, especially in Central Asia, where its technical roots lay.

Mondays and Tuesdays (Open Sundays and holidays, occasional temporary closures),　during exhibithion preparation periods

※Those holding a handicap ID and a companion get a 50% discount

Get off the city bus at Kiyomizumichi and walk east 7minutes on Yasakadori or Kiyomizuzaka

*From Kyoto Station, take the Number 206 or 100 buses.
*By Car / We do not have a parking lot, but there are nearby pay parking lots.
Also, please take notice that on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, Sannenzaka Road is closed to all vehicles between 10am and 5pm.
